Right now the downloaded/uploaded is counted from the selection of now - 5m.
This is totally wrong for several reasons:

  • if the torrent is deleted, it will no longer be counted to the total value, since it's not present in the latest time series
  • It's impossible to select a timeframe and see how much was up/down loaded during that specific time

Notes:

  • Selecting the latest in each time series per torrent id is costly, since the query may span years
  • for total uploaded - consider static counter in postgres
