Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe the problem.

There have been several internal and external user asks around the need for having persistent data in the dashboard.

Describe the solution you'd like

This issue embodies all the investigations and related work items needed to persist content (i.e. telemetry data, settings, etc) and create an impactful narrative.

I think we should not design this to be pluggable storage, but instead use SQLite.
