I am using a Symfony 4 project, and I want to change the user password, so I created a method in my repository and called it to the controller, but this error it diplay to me,

It means either $email or $password is an entity. You should use type declarations to prevent such errors (I think the error is that setPassword() returns a User, and you store that in $pass.
Do this to make the error more obvious:
public function updateU(string $password, string $email): ?Utilisateur
