can't read webhook data

I've attached a webhook to my intent, the speech field is the one that gets returned from the webservice however the there is no data field on the response from the sdk.

When making a curl request I get the data object. Is this intended or am I doing something wrong how would I access this response field?

I am having this issue as well. The data property is not being handled by the library, only the speech property.
