For my research, I needed the activity in relation to receiving a certain badge. I had to use users/{ids}/timeline. The only way I could use your wonderful package was: stackr:::stack_GET("users/9371451/timeline" (See also my answer at Stack Overflow.)
I am still not very experienced in R, but I know that it is not recommended to use …
It is typically a design mistake to use ::: in your code since the corresponding object has probably been kept internal for a good reason. Consider contacting the package maintainer if you feel the need to access the object for anything but mere inspection.

So why did you hide this command? (Similar issue with combine_urlwhich I had to use as well.) Or the other way round: What did I not understand resp. what did I wrong?
