Default license is BSD-2-Clause. I thought we defaulted to BSD-3-Clause?

I'm a fan of keeping licenses as simple as possible and don't feel this needs to be explicitly stated:

Neither the name of [project] nor the names of its contributors may be used to endorse or promote products derived from this software without specific prior written permission.

Having said that, I can totally live with BSD-3 being our standard license.
