https://fennel-lang.org/

The language is fully compatibile with Lua, call any Lua function or library from Fennel and vice-versa.

So there is no need to change anything, just mentioning it in the doc and how to install it as an extra tip. is more than enough.

Here is the install instructions: https://fennel-lang.org/setup#downloading-fennel

Sure, we could perhaps add a note about Fennel, but it would also be cool to have a sample Defold project set up for use with Fennel, similar to https://gitlab.com/alexjgriffith/min-love2d-fennel

Also, are you suggesting to include .fnl files in the project as custom resources and include the Fennel compiler or are you suggesting AOT compilation?

Sorry for applying late.
I think just a note, on the existing fennel with a link to the main site is more than enough.

You could add the instlation instruction also.

I would like to understand what the best approach is to using Fennel in Defold. Are you using Fennel with Defold yourself?
