Guide: Migrating from dbt core to dbt Cloud

Some people get started with using the open core tool along with an external orchestrator (most often airflow), and eventually decide to move to dbt Cloud for ease of use, extra features, availability, offloading tech debt, or many other reasons. We should have a thorough guide on this process to help those folks plan and execute that migration smoothly.
