This describes the Z-Wave device CA600, manufactured by Intermatic with the thing type UID of intermatic_ca600_00_000
.
The device is in the category of Wall Switch, defining Any device attached to the wall that controls a binary status of something, for ex. a light switch.
The CA600 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.
CA 600 is a 600 watt wall-mounted dimmer switch.
If you’re using a Z-Stick:
- Follow installation instructions for the light switch
- If light switch is ready for pairing the LED will pulse red & blue
- If your Z-Stick is plugged into a gateway or a computer, unplug it.
- Take your Z-Stick to your light Switch.
- Press the Action Button on your Z-Stick.
- Press press the toggle on your light Switch.
- If your switch has been successfully linked to your Z-Wave network, its Status LED will no longer blink. If the linking was unsuccessful, the Status LED continues to blink. Repeat the above steps.
- Press the Action Button on your Z-Stick to take it out of installation mode
If you’re using a Z-Stick:
- Unplug the Z-Stick from your gateway or computer.
- Take your Z-Stick to your light switch.
- Press the Action Button on your Z-Stick.
- Press the toggle on your light switch.
- If your light switch has been successfully removed from your network, its Status LED will blink. If the removal was unsuccessful, its Status LED will not blink.
- Press the Action Button on your Z-Stick to take it out of removal mode.

The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off.
The switch_dimmer
channel supports the Dimmer
item and is in the DimmableLight
category.
The device has no configuration parameters defined.
Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.
The device does not support associations.
