Apparently someone else already ported Mapwriter to 1.8.

Yep, this has already been ported.
See vectron/mapwriter

Gjum pushed a commit to Gjum/mapwriter that referenced this issue Nov 21, 2016
change the margin for top right position so both potion bars are
481a679 
visable. (margin went from 10 pixels to 53
fixes daveyliam#28
