Enhancement: Bring back the parameters button in the top bar

What features would you like to see added?

Since the last commit, the parameter button has been removed from the top bar, and it is now exclusive to the right side panel.

Please bring it back. Some of us use LibreChat with the right side panel hidden in the settings, or even worse, disabled in the librechat.yml config file.

This is currently not planned. The side panel is receiving more functionality and I believe a large part of the reason why it was hidden a lot to begin with was that it had no function before. Furthermore, the parameters are relatively, little used to justify prominence in the Header Options (the "+" button will go the same way soon).

I need the parameter tab every time I use a custom endpoint, especially to set the default context window above 4096. It's also handy for adjusting the model's creativity when switching between code and chat modes.

To maintain LibreChat's modularity and flexibility, how about customizing the top bar via librechat.yml?

Setting parameters to true would bring it back to the top bar. If false, it stays in the right side panel.

I find it better on the side panel anyway, it can stay open that way, too, if you rely on it a lot.

I'm in favor of this. I too frequently use the parameter adjustments when I'm trying to alter the behavior of the model to get a different response to the same prompt. I'd guess it's more of a power user feature though, so not the end of the world if it doesn't come back, but I thought I'd chime in anyway in support of @TyraVex.

I didn't realize Parameters had moved to the right sidebar (hence me searching for this right now - I just assumed they were gone) - is there somewhere the changes are documented (Eg, removed button x and moved it to y place etc?), or did I miss them on the release notes?
Edit: also please don't remove the + button on top. this is more intuitive than typing that command. People wouldn't know by default.

Same here, how can I make Parameters to be shown for OpenAI, Antropic, Google etc?
For predefined endpoints, basically?

librechat.yml parameters: true -- controls for custom endpoints, not for predefined endpoints.

They're in the sidebar right now for me (even for predefined ones) which feels a bit counterintuitive as a user but eh. When I hit sidebar my main thought is not "Sweet I get to tinker with this model" but rather "Let me open up new things to attach to what I have"

but how were you able to configure Librechat to show Parameters side menu for Antrophic?

One thing that confused me: For Azure OpenAI the params menu is still in the top bar, for other endpoints like OpenAI in the sidebar.
Is this a problem with my instance or is the refactoring not finished?
