Hi,
In 2021 you added the feature that enables the admin to prevent Ouriginal being enabled when assignments have already been submitted:

A new setting was added to the plugin settings in the site administration area of Moodle:
Prevent enabling when assignments exist
Prevent non-admin staff from enabling Ouriginal when the assignment already contains submissions.

The thing is that if this setting is enabled, and an assignment already has submissions, the teacher won't see the "Ouriginal" settings area in the assignment settings page. This is also what would happen if the plugin/system won't be integrated in the system at all.
It would better to let the user/teacher know that the Ouriginal system is integrated into the Moodle system and is functioning properly, but can't be enabled for this assignment since there are already submissions in the assignment.

Maybe it would be even more helpful to put a visible message near the "Enable Ouriginal" setting of the assignment, that would let the user know or remind him that if he/she wants to use Ouriginal with the assignment, Ouriginal must be enabled before the student would submit documents.

Please consider it, because in my opinion would improve a lot the UX of Ouriginal in Moodle.

Thanks

@acquaalta - sounds like a good improvement although as Turnitin have now purchased Ouriginal I'm not sure they will continue to fund further improvements to this plugin - best way would be to ask your Ouriginal support contact to see if they will look at funding this, otherwise pull requests are always welcome.
