Channel Play tone fails

Attempting to play a ringtone is failing with error code 2 and message Internal Error.

Does it make any sense that ari::Channel Play("tone:ring") would end up in Asterisk 18 debug logs as HTTP Request URI is /ari/bridges/6b14a8f5-c7a5-4e07-8b2c-0a8e1f89d7ae/play?media=tone%3Aring&playbackId=aricpp-p13 ?

I cannot understand how a channel command looks like a bridge URI. ARICPP code looks like a channel is a channel.

D'oh I can't read my own code. It was played from a Bridge.

Now just need to track down Internal Error.

So, this was the cause of the request done to a internal bridge object, then.

Now just need to track down Internal Error.

I guess that you should:

• answer the channel
• play the ringtone on the channel

I'm sure you're right, playing ringtone on a bridge is just weird and answering channel first makes sense.
Now I just need to shoehorn that under old application logic that mixes up channels and conferences.

You can have a look at the example auto_attendant.cpp in the directory examples of the library.
It answer an incoming call and then plays a song on the channel.
