How to use maxSpan and isInvalidDate together so that maxSpan does not include excluded days?

When I try to use maxSpan and isInvalidDate together excluded days by isInvalidDate are not respected by the maxSpan option and for example if I have maxSpan set to 1 and I select the day preceding the excluded day, I cannot select any more days. Any idea how to solve this problem so that maxSpan does not include excluded days?
