It was reported (in the September 2017 survey) that some scripts didn’t run well when the input document was in some specific encoding or locale.

To be further investigated.

consolidate a test suite of sample content in various encodings and locales
run the conversion scripts against the test suite
identify any issue, and add to the tracker
