The app currently doesn't follow a lot of the material design guidelines, and given the number of reddit users who complain about the fact that Google doesn't even follow them all the time, it seems pretty reasonable for this app to also adapt to the guidelines.

Could you be more specific on which guidelines are being broken?

They're mostly minor things, but

• As I mentioned on reddit, the status bar color is a little off
• The Toolbar doesn't have any elevation (even on Marshmallow)
• The report dialog's buttons are misplaced

And just in general, I feel like it might be worth looking at a possible redesign of the Details activity. It's not bad as it is, but it could be better.

I think CardViews will be more suitable for the app list.
