Unable to process URL

When I type in an announcement, all is well until I type a URL. After I type "http://" then a few characters later, the whole announcements pane hangs, with a spinning circle under it, and I can't submit the post. I can back up and remove the URL and then it works just fine. (This is on a multisite, if that makes any difference.) I am using Wordpress 4.2.3 and CBOX is up to date. I recently updated BuddyPress to the latest version independently of CBOX, because the CBOX version was not indicating that BuddyPress was out of date.

The activity post form does not do any automatic checking of the content you are typing into the field.

It's most likely that you are using a 3rd-party plugin that is checking the contents of this form. What plugins are you using?

That's good to know, thank you. I am using too many plugins to easily nail down the culprit. I tried disabling any that I thought might be doing field content processing (e.g., Linkify Text) but it made no difference. I will try again. Thanks for responding so quickly.
