Got quite confused about having a site selector in first place, which made me think it would take me to a page hierarchally above the entries index (that does not exist...). In fact it switches to a localized version of the current entry.
So I'd like to suggest to position the site switcher after the entry title, which would reflect the 'natural' way editors think of the hierarchy:
All entries -> has post index -> has an entry -> has localized versions.
