Hi!
I’m not sure if this is an issue, but I found the following a bit confusing from the user's perspective: it looks like the Web Component and the Verify website react in different ways in case the file was exported without content credentials and the previous content ingredient contains content credentials.
Steps to reproduce:
Export an image with content credentials
Open the same image again with content credentials
Make some changes
Export it again without content credentials
Use the Web Component and Verify website to display the content credentials of the last exported image
Expected behavior:
The Web Component and Verify websites should display the same CAI metadata (if any).
Actual behavior:
The Verify website displays “This file was edited without content credentials” but the Web Component displays the CAI metadata from the image with content credentials.
Additional information:
I used Photoshop 24.4.1 to edit the image(s).
I have attached two screenshots and the image used for testing here.
Thanks for brining this up @francesco-smartframe - this is definitely not intended and we prioritize fixing this with the proper user experience. Also appreciate the test image as that is very helpful.
