I have seen all of the posts in the past about not supporting AWS_MSK_IAM because it is not a standard in the Kafka docs. And I have read through PR 3042 where it was said that the changes for AWS_MSK_IAM would not be merged. But with the official release of AWS MSK Serverless (and AWS_MSK_IAM being the only supported auth mechanism) has there been any more discussion/thought about adding plugin support for the SASL so we can add AWS_MSK_IAM support without having to add it to the official library?
