What is the idea?

We would like to explore using https://www.goatcounter.com/ as an analytics service for several conda documentation websites (conda, conda-docs, conda-build).

Why is this needed?

It would be nice to be able to post a public dashboard with visitor statistics. We also like that it is privacy friendly.

What should happen?

Create a demonstration of using this. Consider making it become an optional part of the conda-sphinx-theme.
