The debug bar seems to be the culprit for some pages on my test site becoming unresponsive. Typically Updating addons gets stuck if the debug bar is installed.

Whilst the debug data collection necessarily carries and overhead, it would be considerably more useful if its application could be limited to specific pages, or specific pages excluded.
