since our deploy workflows are not dispatched on release but on push to main, what would be the purpose of having release please in the compas-deployment repo? @pascalwilbrink

I think to "promote" new versions of individual ecosystems. Maybe in the future, we have frontend versions that only work from a specific version from a backend service. By adding versioning to deployment, we can group it more together. @Sander3003, you mentioned earlier that you want to promote new versions on mailing lists and media?
