Our contributor_ladder.md template is a fairly comprehensive "ladder creation kit". The problem with that is that it's a bit confusing for maintainers; there's too many options and too much information.

What would really help is doing a couple of examples, one of a minimal Ladder with 3 levels, and one with more levels and some specialized roles.
