It was brought to our attention that there is a mismatch between the priority levels of variables in the CMIP6 data request as compared to the GMD paper which outlines the DynVarMIP (http://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-9-3413-2016).
A few variables are listed as priority 2 in the CMIP6 data request (DR), but were listed as priority 1 in the GMD paper. These will be missed if groups only do priority 1 variables. The variables are:
vtendnogw and vtendogw (DR: Emon table, GMD paper: table 3)
tntrl+tntrs (DR: EmonZ table, GMD paper: table 5)
Conversely, the following variables are listed as priority 1 in the DR, but are listed as priority 2 in the GMD paper. (We would very much like to have these variables, but felt that we should note that mismatch. In particular, mnstrage (mean stratospheric age) may not be included in many models.)
