i think it all worked ok - I could post as a stranger by creating a github
account. we didn't have to set permission.

As a test, I fired up Firefox in private mode so it had no recollection of
interactions with GitHub. I then tried to post on this forum. I did have to
create a GitHub account but it says this post will go through. We shall see.

As a private user you need to click "subscribe" (in the right column here) to get the email notifications. You can, as far as I understand, either subscribe to the whole repository (i.e. get emails regarding all issues) or just to the issue you're following, which gives the option of not receiving all messages, just the relevant ones. |
