Incorrect serialisation for sub classed objects

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Extract the Containers.zip maven project attached.
2. Run the BookingDialogViewJsonSerializerTest.java JUnit test to observe the 
issue.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'm trying to serialise a nested object. The object serialises fine when not 
nested. When nested only fields on the base class are serialised, fields on the 
subclasses are omitted.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.3.2 on win xp.

Please provide any additional information below.
