Did you manage to find a work around for this?
Nvm I was an idiot. To anyone else having issues make sure you aren't in repo you cloned build folder should beside the cloned repo

I got the same problem with vs 2022, have you solved the problem yet ?

If you clone into:
C:\git\aaa\detours.net
Make sure you DON'T create the build dir inside, like this ❌
C:\git\aaa\detours.net\build\
Create it in the parent directory like this 🟢
C:\git\aaa\build\
