In the current DESI spectroscopic pipeline, flux calibration is applied to the frame spectra in order to calibrate the spectrographs and correct for PSF fiber loss. Currently, we marginalize over the spectro-photometric calibration, which should marginalize over the PSF fiber loss correction if we assume PSF fiber loss is constant across the spectrographs. This assumption seems to be the case based on Legacy Survey (r_fib vs r_tot) but remains to be confirmed from spectral data alone.
