We need to demonstrate that our NMF SFH bases produce better SFHs than standard parametric methods.

How do the priors imposed by the NMF SFH bases compare to the standard parametric SFH?

In this notebook I compare the priors imposed on SSFR (1Gyr and 100Myr) by the NMF and parametric SFH models.

As expected, the standard tau model imposes a much more stringent limit on the range of SSFR. This means that even if we correct for the prior, there will be strict upper limits on SSFR imposed by the tau model.
