Regarding suspension of the project

Totally understand your feelings here given what happened to your Chromebook. But: If you had another Chromebook, would you be interested in continuing to work on the project?

I've updated the readme a bit. I've decided to suspend general development until I have a few core audio issues fixed. Since I don't have any other maintainers, I want to take this project piece-by-piece. I don't think having another chromebook would benefit me; the wait between remote debugging lets me focus on other things. I am a minor (which I wouldn't like to reveal to others), so I don't have a capacity to maintain this project as intensely as others commit to.

Understood; thanks for the explanation. I greatly appreciate all you have shared and done to create this project. I have ample time to devote to this and am personally invested in its success. So, I have the time to be a maintainer, I don't have the kernel/driver knowledge that you do but would love to become more knowledgeable in this area. Consider me available to help out however you feel that I can.

Personally, I think its awesome that you've created this. Working on it has taken me back to the 80s when I first started in computers. That gives you an idea of my age. :-)

BTW: You returned my donation, but if you will accept it, I'll send it back. You've put a ton of work into this and it is worth it to me.

You can count me in as well! I also am not well versed in the kernel, but I am learning. However I do not wish to contest the position of the maintainer. I will do my best to contribute to this project; am personally interested as I have 25 chromebooks I wish to install linux on lol.

Would just like to add my voice saying thank you for this project! I'm thoroughly impressed by it and much happier with Ubuntu on my Chromebook. I'm not currently in a position to donate but would very much like to in the future. (Just started a new job with good prospects!)

@MilkyDeveloper An idea: Since you can't get verified through PayPal due to your age, how about getting the assistance of a parent or other adult? I'd be willing to make a significant donation towards you getting a different Chromebook (one with working speakers :p). What do you think?
