We should evaluate what sort of automation we can take advantage of when looking for mentions of The Carpentries on Twitter & LinkedIn since unlike the other sources of feedback, these are "in the wild" and are not exclusive to The Carpentries.

Twitter has an api to obtain data - examples of how to use it in a number of programming languages online, including R. Data is available for the past 2 weeks through the api without payment. LinkedIn api conditions: https://legal.linkedin.com/api-terms-of-use

It looks like there are some historic dumps of tweets we could use/scrape here: https://archive.org/details/twitterstream
