Currently, there is no way to use the default python-astro image with dependencies not already in the image. It would be very useful to have a post-init (terminology very much up for debate) option for specifying commands to run in the container prior to the actual payload. The specific use-case I envision is pip installing some extra dependencies before running some Python code.
