If you're not receiving booking confirmation emails for the HR event type, here are a few things to check:

I have the same problem: No confirmation e-mail. Neither to the host (me) nor to the attendee. |

The same applies for cancelling an event. No e-mails are sent. Have checked with a colleague and he has the same issue with a different account. |

For an event type HR, i did not get a booking confirmation email, we also have a catchall email account so literally every email that goes through our org is in that account, and it wasnt in their either
I checked the last HR meeting i had and it was in Dec, as the booking confirmation was in the catchall account
We have not changed any settings in quite some time
