Hey Marlon! Actually, I don't use TickTick anymore ha!

To me, the most important thing to productivity is now saying "no". Read Four Thousand Weeks. Amazing book. Changed my perspective on what I'm trying to do with time management.

The pattern has been: onboard to a tool, try it out, love it, and then life hits you and you've got to move on.

I've discovered that I love text-based editors for todo notes. This is why Apple Notes/OneNote are so popular - they're ephemeral. Make a note for today's tasks, get on with life.

I've actually come to hate the philosophy behind GTD, because it's more anxiety producing than anything. The philosophy is too regimented and pretty soon you get bloat from having too many tasks that are hard to prioritize. So the real benefit is just being able to write down the note to get it out of your head. In these app-based todo lists, you're going to die if you have 200 tasks. I also don't like how many ways of slicing that just aren't useful.

The main thing is being able to plan today's tasks as well as take notes.

The important thing is to have clarity about what's important to today.

So to solve the problem: I use Obsidian note taking app with the Tasks plugin. I keep coming back to this. It has great sorting, a lot of customization. That way, I can link my notes to my todos. It's also a journal. So it's my one-stop-shop for notes/todos/journal/take notes on meetings with people/etc. This way, I don't have to maintain different apps. Check it out, let me know your thoughts.

Lastly, I just use ClickUp at work to collaborate with others. Collaborating with others is a whole different ball game. Gotta use a digital tool like TickTick/Todoist/ClickUp.
