This is the error I'm getting:

no available backend found. ERR: [webgpu] Error: Failed to get GPU adapter. You may need to enable flag "--enable-unsafe-webgpu" if you are using Chrome.

My settings.

The model seems to respond otherwise just fine.

Same error for me in many times, or locked in "expecting lookup"

I'm getting the same "no available backend" error using the AppImage version of Obsidian 1.7.7 on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. Starting Obsidian with the suggested flag doesn't change anything. I'm using Kobold.cpp as the backend through Custom API, and I can see that the backend is receiving the prompt and generating a response.

When using Gemini 1.5 Flash I have to enable "Send Tool Output in User Message" for lookup to work. That fixed the "unkown error" for me, but I don´t know wheter that is intended or just a workaround
