Is there a way to define the method used by the Riemann sum integral?

if i use a existing power sensor for utlity meter generation the default thrapezoid method will be used, which is not correct for some usecases.

is there a way to specify the left/right parameter?

You can set energy_integration_method on the sensor configuration. Also see the readme.

thanks for the reply but i still don't understand, i want to use existing power sensors.

currently the powercalc config is:

• platform: powercalc
  entity_id: switch.bathroom_dehumidifier
  power_sensor_id: sensor.bathroom_bathroom_dehumidifier_current_consumption

in the readme i don't see the valid inputs for "energy_integration_method" or is it just "energy_integration_method: left" and i can add that option to the platform?

if i do it manually i would create a integration before that
