Record daystart values

Please consider an addition to powercalc for recording daystart values on power and energy source sensors.

before I used all zwave devices via Iungo, which added those values. After having moved all zwave devices to core Ha, I had to automate the recording of daystart values using some nifty templating/variables and manual Mqtt sensor entities to record that.

seems very doable to have Powercalc do that and add the 2 values to the global/entity setup along with a naming option {} daystart?

We then would have all useful info in 1 integration!

Not sure what the added value of this is?
For energy sensors you can just use the utility meters. Or the statistics data which has the energy sensor data historically per hour.

For power sensors it really makes no sense at all as this is not a total value over time but a constantly changing value.

its for inspecting purposes.
the utility meters needs to be inspected on their graph, as they progress in time.
the daystart sensors are fixed per day, and offer an immediate insight in their state

especially the powersensors, which I use to inspect for unexpected power consumption during the off times, for which day change seems the best moment to check. its exactly that aspect (momentary, and not collected) that makes it extra useful

if I check to see my smart meters power was high during night time, I need to inspect what and why. Can even alert on that with an automation so the system takes care of it all, rather than go by silently.
