#This is not an idea...just a question, but strangely 'question' is not an available Category to start a discussion. I thought a recent release automatically accounted for the number of strips connected to a LIFX Z, but I cannot seem to find that in the previous release notes. Am I imagining it? ;-P In any case, do I need to apply a 'Multiply factor' for LIFX Z strips or does it automatically adjust? |

I will add a question section, good idea. To answer your question. No, this information is not available in HA. In recent version automatic selection of IR mode was added, but length of lightstrip is unknown. |

To answer your question. No, this information is not available in HA. In recent version automatic selection of IR mode was added, but length of lightstrip is unknown.
So yes, you'll have to use the multiply factor to adjust your length relative to the base.
