Vorta's GUI freezes while an existing repo gets added #1576

Description

While the status in the text field next to the “Cancel” button gets updated from time to time, I still get an
“Vorta” is not responding
message from Gnome:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Vorta
  2. Select “Add existing repo”, after clicking the “+” button next to the repository list.
  3. Enter the path and the password for the repo
  4. GUI will freeze

Reproduction

  • I tried to reproduce the issue.
  • I was able to reproduce the issue.

ArchLinux latest

0.8.10
