VLC Playing the HLS / LL-HLS on port 8000? Can anyone get this to work?

Hello all,

Sure, there is a RTSP, RTMP etc, but I would really like to be able to play the HLS coming from MediaMTX for a live feed in VLC but I can't get it to work. I've tried various changes in the settings related to the format fmp4, low latency, etc but none work with VLC. Has anyone been able to get this to work? Any suggestions or ideas?

Hello, use this URL (replace "mystream" with the path of your stream):

http://localhost:8888/mystream/index.m3u8

Summing up: to read a HLS stream with VLC, use port 8888 and append /index.m3u8. This is documented in the README.
