module that alerts you when you pick up items, that are worth a lot on the trading point or for other reasons. The alert warns the user so that he does not accidentally salvage the item or sell the item to a NPC vendor.

• Examples for valuable items:
  • precursors for legendary equipment
  • cosmetic infusions
  • ... something else?
• might be good when the alert is not just a Notification that is shown for a fixed duration which the user may miss. Probably better to show some kind of notification like the event modules displays or display some alarm-bell icon with the name and icon of the item. But the user has to click on an "x" or "ok" button to confirm that he saw the alarm, to dismiss it.
• it should be able to show multiple alarms at the same time, so that when you get 2 drops, you get alerted for both and not just the last one. rare chance, but why not.
• Probably best to store all item ids found on the account between blish starts. Otherwise the module may accidentally miss an item or warn every time for the same item on module start.
• could limit searching to the inventory of the currently played character. But because of the api delay that has a risk of missing an item when characters are switched.
• funny: the alert will be probably delayed by 5-10minutes because of the gw2 api. So within that time you may already have salvaged or sold the item. And a few minutes after that you get the alert. :D
