Can my legacy download pages at the University of Utah be recreated using only GitHub pages?

Would need some help with the JavaScript and web design.

Looks like something one can do with pyscript+panel. I'm not an expert on GUIs and UI but there are examples that are pretty close to those pages. This is an example I created recently that has some of the basics.

The tricky part is to make goes2go installable on pyscript/pyodide. The only snag I see is the dependency on cartopy. If that one can be made optional, or if we can make cartopy installable on pyodide, then goes2go would be ready for the web.
