i think it'd be interesting to analyze all the various flavors (surprise vs. heads up) of a QC event as well as different tactics for handling it and transitioning, including the philosophical question of what to do with vulnerable coins, and what to do about mining if 1 entity can dominate.

I don't know if there are any individuals or ASIC manufacturing companies that are interested in or have already experimented with this yet. And where can we check or verify this information from reliable sources?

Or are there any points/sections in the Bitcoin Core code that have already been prepared or implemented to support and address this potential quantum computing problem?

My intention here is more about analysis of how a consensus change could play out vs. specific technical solutions.
