Feature request: background blur support

Since it's now possible to have glass blur as the background of anything, I would like to request it as an option to have transparent blur as drop down terminal's background.

The caveat (bugs) is that

• artifacts on blurred parts gnome shell bug
• screenshots make the shell crash gnome shell bug (appears to be fixed by gnome developers, gnome soon updated)
