Continuous flag resulting in odd dimensions in pytest #78

stepping through the debugger i found the following info:

before setting continuous to false, med-imagetools would always hit the Exception in the code above, and then do some weird decision making

now that continuous is set to False, it doesnt seem to hit the Exception
