I work at HousingNOLA and with the Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance.
We try hard at holding Assessor Williams accountable for making fair property assessments in Orleans Parish. As you know, it is very difficult to get a hold of the full assessment lists. I have used your existing data set to assess % change from 2019 to 2020 where some businesses got massive reductions because of covid. I'm interested again to see what changes there were from 2020 to 2021. Also, amendment 6 requires a 4 year phase-in of property taxes if the assessment increases 50% or more. This has not been happening, partially because the assessor is not getting information to the treasury. I also would like to see how many people have been affected by the lack of adherence to this law from 2018. Therefore, I am asking if it would be possible to scrape the website for 2021 data.
Feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I'd also appreciate any direction you can give me.
Thanks,
Romy
