It'd be great if we could specify the side of the container to snap to.

  • What is the current behavior?

Currently, when snapping is enabled (like it is by default), the current item snaps to the left side of the container.

  • What is the expected behavior?

It would be useful if we could snap to the right side of the container, or even to align to the middle by setting a property on the component. Maybe snapAlign with the default value being left, but also allowing for center or right as values.

  • What is the motivation / use case for changing the behavior?

It seems more intuitive to have the currently selected item front and center, rather than off to one side or the other. That said, there are clearly uses for left snap, as that's been the default for a while, so I would assume that it and right snap are both desirable alignments.
