Question on support for PGBouncer in transacation mode

I know that in the README, it is specifically called out that only connection mode in PGBouncer is supported.

I'd like to ask if transaction mode can be supported if we switch of LISTEN/NOTIFY and use polling instead? Are there other settings that we can tweak to get Goodjob to work with transaction mode?

Nope. GoodJob (currently) uses connection-based advisory locks to lock jobs.

Moving off of that is planned, but timeline is indeterminate.
