This amazingly useful tool was disabled by Firefox Quantum. I am extremely annoyed because I found it very useful
Have you any idea if or when the programme would be updated to work with quantum? Many thanks,

the author do not update the extension...

Thank you Fabio. I had read the comments but not being technically minded all I wanted to know was if there was or was not going to be a new toolbar. If not, I am considering changing my browser especially since Mozilla are now asking for donations for development

I don't think the author dropped this add on. in #24 he was still working on it on 16 Nov 2017.
He also changed the title from "Rewrite Image Toolbar with WebExtensions APIs by end of 2017" to "Rewrite Image Toolbar with WebExtensions APIs" on 21 Dec 2017.
I hope it is just he hasn't find enough time to finish it.
In any case, the features will be somewhat limited because of WebExtensions APIs.
